~ Really?
On September 27th, Republican Congressman Paul Broun made a speech at a sportsman's banquet at the Liberty Baptist Church in Hartwell, Georgia. We can only assume Mr. Broun was pandering to the base and had no intentions of making his views known to the outside world. However, his ridiculous comments were reported all over the world last week. He said, “All that stuff I was taught about evolution and embryology and Big Bang theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of hell. And it's lies to try to keep me and all the folks who are taught that from understanding that they need a Savior." Broun also said that the Earth is only 9,000 years old and was created by God in six days.
~ Evolution, Embryology, & Big Bang are "lies from the pit of hell."
What’s even more outrageous, this damned fool sits on the United States House Committee on Science, Space and Technology. On the committee, he is joined by Republican Representative Todd Akin from Missouri, who also recently gained international infamy after he claimed that women who are “legitimately raped” cannot get pregnant – implying that women who are date-raped are not really raped. Of course, his comments are total rubbish with zero support from science, click here. Both these men have made America a laughing stock around the world. However, they and their fundamentalist backers are devious, often advocating nonsense such as Intelligent Design and anti-abortion quackery posing as legitimate science.
~ The Republican Party has been hijacked by anti-science nuts.
Even in a democracy, it makes no sense to appoint onto committees politicians whose sole agenda is to undermined and destroy the mission of that very same committee! That's letting the fox guard the hen house. However, Mr. Broun is a former medical doctor and Mr. Akin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering. Are they really knuckle-dragging idiots, or are they just scamming their own constituents for votes? We'll never know. But either way, this can’t possibly be good for society or democracy. The radical Tea Party movement has damaged the Republican Party and America – perhaps irreparably – by touting morons and dogma on one hand, and by making liars and fakers out of the moderates on the other. What you end up with is a destabilized and gridlocked nation paralyzed by fanaticism and dishonesty. Case in point: Republican candidate for the presidency, Mitt Romney.

UPDATE: "Global Warming A Total Fraud": GOP Rep.
~ What – or who – is really the total fraud here?
(August 13, 2013) Representative Dana Rohrabacher of California is another moron who sits on the United States House Committee on Science, Space and Technology; he's the vice chairman of this committee, and it seems his goal in life is to destroy science, space, technology, and the truth. That's like hiring a pyromaniac to be the chief of the fire department. On August 8th, he was taped at a town hall meeting calling Climate Change a total fraud that would lead to a one-world government. But he has made many other really idiotic comments before, like saying Global Warming is caused by dinosaur fart.

Great blog article about this topic, I have been lately in your blog once or twice now. I just wanted to say my thanks for the information provided here.
ReplyDeleteThe Republican Party is also full of nuts like Birthers. These imbeciles not only deny that Obama is born in the U.S. (the only president who had to show BOTH versions of his birth certificate), they argue that a citizen must have both parents who are also citizens. These morons forgot that would disqualify many of the founding fathers of the United States. They should just admit the truth: ALL Birthers are racist bigots. These idiots have wrecked the GOP.
ReplyDeletei think big bang theory is right.. i dont know the truth.. :) but thanks for the information..
ReplyDeleteYour statement boggles the mind .... you 'think' the big bang 'theory' is right?...but you admit you don't know the truth? So just how did the 'big bang theory' come to be? The whole idea that something comes from nothing is contradictory and makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Think again.
DeleteIs something really something, or is something really nothing? There are no fundamental building blocks. The Big Bang Theory holds.
DeleteTea Party morons and birther kooks like circus clown Donald Dump are the best thing that ever happened to the Democrats.
ReplyDeleteThere is no such thing as evolution, not one instance of any species 'evolving' into another has ever happened. Darwin's 'theory' is no longer excepted by many in the scientific world since technology and microbiology have made discoveries that make a mockery of his so-called 'theory' yet the world of academia not only keeps the 'sheeple' in the dark but propogates ignorance with the continued dissemination of old 'theories' while avoiding the latest evidence. People would rather turn a blind eye and call others names then research it for themselves with an unbiased viewpoint.
ReplyDeleteThat's the most ignorant thing I've ever heard. All modern science, such as DNS research and bio-chemistry are confirming that Darwin was right -- it's quite amazing really. Only morons think there is a conspiracy. One must wonder why or even how all global governmental agencies, all global scientific communities, all global educational authorities consider Evolution as truth.
DeletePeople who say things like the idiot above are liars who want others to be controlled by their stupidity and ignorance.
Creationists point out that there is no evidence that one species "evolve" into another. That's because separate species all evolved from a common ancestor -- not from each other. For example, many breeds of dogs evolved from the wolf, but it doesn't follow that there should be evidence to prove that a poodle evolved from a great dane or vice versa. Creationist theory relies solely on this illogical argument.
